Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the 2010 fantasy football season. I’m sure you’ll not be surprised to hear that it was an exciting week in the Liga Guadalupe. As always, congrats to the victors, condolences to the losers, and good luck to anyone unfortunate enough to face off against the mighty MOG this week.
Time for some awards, commentary, and prognostication.
bad pimpin’
The story of the week: the incredible failfest that was the Spir’tual Pimps.
I’ll try to upload more of the data later, but take a look at the Pimps’ statistical dominance in week 1:
goose eggs | The Crab Traps (1), Spir’tual Pimps (1) |
deviant | Spir’tual Pimps (-51.82 FP from projected) |
underachiever | Spir’tual Pimps (51.82 FP under projected) |
biggest loser | Spir’tual Pimps (71.98 FP margin of loss) |
low score | Spir’tual Pimps (60.22 FP) |
outlier | Spir’tual Pimps (-2.30 std devs) |
gg richard.
For statistical dominance, I’m awarding $13 to the Spir’tual Pimps. Spend it wisely.
other business
The Best-of-the-Worst award in Week 1: These Go To 11 (126.21 FP in a losing effort). For this, $13 goes to Tahoe. Better luck next week.
In related news, the Lucky SOB Award goes to The Seaward. His 125.49 FP was enough to beat the MOG, but wouldn’t have topped Tahoe. For you, Justin: $1. Enjoy.
Good news: everyone started a full roster in week 1. That means all teams get their $11 weekly allowance for good behaviour and sportsmanlike conduct.
I wish I had time for more, but I’m going to have to cut it short this week. Look for a much heartier edition of the Liga Weekly next time around.
Good luck to y’all!
