And then there were 4. Streakers, that is. Three teams built on their success from last week, having tied their shoelaces with a 1-streak. But a 2-streak is a far cry from the perfect nine-streak we four superstreakers have going.
I do offer kudos to Tahoe for such an effective use of the bye-consolidation strategy. Operating under this strategy, a manager builds a team of players who have common bye weeks. The idea, then, is that you simply write off a week or two when most of your team is on bye. Consequently, you don’t have to worry about byes for the other weeks of the season. Although These Go To 11 broke its streak in week 7 with two empty roster spots, the only other week they’ve fielded fewer than 10 players (so far) was week 9. Only four NFL teams were on bye, but Tahoe had 5 empties. That’s the most effective consolidation I’ve seen to date in the Liga.
Then again, These Go To 11 is dead last in the Liga at the moment, with an impressively bad 1-8 record. After securing their first victory of the season in week 9 (congratulations to Doug, condolences to Nich), the Bullmeisters might actually finish ahead of the elevens.
Streaker bonuses follow the Fibonacci sequence: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, … This Fibonacci streaker bonus (F) becomes part of the multiplier and is added to the $11 base amount.
With 4 teams on bye in week 9, the goodbye bonus award (A) is:

The Best-of-the-Worst award in Week 9: Bust a Move (276.76 FP). It was a valiant effort, but not enough to defeat the surging MOG’s 346.22 FP. Ashley will receive the usual $13 award AND “the pot.” In this case, the pot is $275, so the total award amount is $288.
This leaves FOUR Lucky SOBs: Parole Models (276.52 FP), Bullmeisters (262.89 FP), The Spir’tual Pimps (240.52 FP) and Elvis Ate America (240.48 FP). Each will receive one lucky dollar.
